OCSO MOUNTED POSSE
    The Orange County, Florida, Sheriff's Mounted Posse was established in 2000.  The purpose of the Mounted Posse is to provide Search and Rescue services with the primary emphasis on use of horses.  Members of the Mounted Posse may be called upon to participate in Missing Persons Searches; Evidence Searches; and Special Events.  The unit also participates in the Black Stallion Literacy Project  www.bslf-online.org.  Members of the Mounted Posse are volunteers and receive no remuneration from the county for his or her service.
